The Chicago Women Wellness Center cares about one thing - helping couples conceive a child and become a family. We direct our entire efforts towards finding the cause of infertility and treating it – regardless of whether the medical problem that prevents reproduction exists in the female or male partner or in both individuals.
Many couples can conceive a child as a result of simple medical treatment. Others require more advanced procedures including:
- Hormonal treatment – The use of hormones such as estrogen and progesterone.
- Controlled ovarian hyperstimulation – Hormonal stimulation of the ovaries that will enable timely ovulation to occur along with the production of several eggs.
- Medical or surgical treatment of endometriosis.
- Intrauterine insemination with the husband’s or donor’s sperm.
- Male infertility treatment
- Surgical procedures including laser surgery.
- Advanced reproductive technologies:
IVF/ET - In Vitro fertilization of the aspirated eggs, which are fertilized with the husband’s or donor’s sperm. The developing embryos are transferred into the mother’s uterus.
TET - Developing embryos are transferred by laparoscopy into fallopian tubes.
ICSI - Intra cytoplasmic sperm injection in cases of severe male factor infertility. A single sperm can be injected into the egg. Developing embryos can be transferred into the uterus (ET) or into the fallopian tubes (TET)
- Management of menopause
- Egg donation
- Obstetrical care during pregnancy and delivery.
